His Highness the Emir of the Eastern Province sponsors the annual ceremony of the EFA Association for the Disabled - Copy

The annual ceremony of the Ifaa Association for the Care of People with Disabilities was held on Tuesday evening, 4/5/2022, at the Othman Kempinski Hotel, in the presence of the Honorary President of Ifaa, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province.

To honor donors and showcase the association’s achievements and projects in its four areas (strategic – beneficiary journey – community – service environment), totaling 35 projects.

The annual ceremony began with a tour by His Highness in the Ifaa Exhibition, which consists of: the studio of the artist Hila Al-Muhaisen, who is a person with disabilities, the bazaar that includes products made by the hands of people with disabilities, and the corner of the medical center that includes splints and prosthetic limbs.

His Highness also witnessed the signing of a number of agreements between EFA Association and the following companies: Al-Qusaibi Services Company Limited, Al-Tamimi Company, Awan Real Estate Group, United Gulf Company Limited and Al-Yamamah Company.

The ceremony was presented by sports media personality Bader Rafeh, who began with the national anthem and verses from the Holy Quran. A video was then shown of the association’s achievements, and attendees donated generous sums of money. Then, Eng. Khaled Al-Zamel, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, delivered his speech, in which he said, “Thanks to God, we were able to increase the number of beneficiaries of the medical center’s services by 60% in 2021 compared to 2020, equivalent to 3,774 beneficiaries. The number of treatment sessions increased from 15,348 to 23,341 treatment sessions, and the number of devices provided to beneficiaries increased from 682 devices to 1,193 support devices.”

This was followed by a speech by Ms. Rana Taiba, the Executive Director of the Association, explaining EFA’s achievements, saying, “We launched the strategic transformation program with the generous blessing of His Highness the Honorary President of the Association, and we adopted the roadmap and aligned our goals with the global trend. We aligned our goals with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, and we chose 6 goals that converge with our identity and adopted 4 main areas of sustainability, which led us to 5 strategic directions that we work today and every day to achieve.”

The ceremony concluded with His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud honoring the donors and supporters for their support to the association, and then honoring His Highness in gratitude for his generous patronage and for being its honorary president.
